Networking switch delivery has ended for 3D X-ray units.
Starting at the end of January 2024, Planmeca 3D imaging systems will be delivered without a networking switch. This switch was previously used to connect the reconstruction PC to the imaging network. In future installations, the 3D X-ray unit and capture PC are connected directly to the reconstruction PC ethernet ports. The reconstruction PC then automatically bridges the capture PC to the 3D X-ray imaging device.
For an example of this setup, please reference this example.
There has been an issue with some Reco PCs going to sleep. This can be prevented by logging into the Reconstruction Server's BIOS and disabling “Deep Sleep Control” in the Power Management settings.
Enable “Block Sleep” to prevent unit from entering sleep mode.
Set Active State Power Management (ASPM) to “Disabled” at all times.
Users with Romexis versions 6.1 to 6.2.1 may experience a Java based system vulnerability. See this page for more information on how to correct this and more details about the vulnerability.
