The ProMax 3D Max has the capability to take both 3D volumes and 2D SmartPan images. It has 3 articulation points by default at the shoulder, elbow, and c-arm.

The difference between this unit and a 3D Classic or 3D S model is the extended shoulder joint and elongated elbow joint. The 3D Max unit also has a patient support mechanism that allows the unit to raise or lower the c-arm separately from the patient support arm. This allows for a larger array of volumes to be taken.

The ProMax Max has the option of adding a ProFace camera set to its sensor which will take an image of the patient's face while taking an x-ray scan.
